Accommodation: Stayed at the Holiday inn in Juhu, was really cool, right on the beach and staff really friendly.. great pool..

Shopping: Grant road is a cool place to start with brilliant Indian Jewellery, Had to buy the girlfriend something! They have got malls now! So check you’re your hotel, Great for Kurta tops, etc…. plus it’s an experience just to check it out..

Entertainment: Where to start, the nightlife is incredible, near us at the JW Marriot you have Enigma plays Bhangra, Hindi and English.. Wow the women are drop dead gorgeous; I kept on getting hit by my girl for staring. So much for women wearing suits and sarrees.

Mini skirts and sexy tops all the way!!! Am going back next year with the Boyz!

Anyway Opposite the Marriott is J49, this was a bit small but was cool on a mon/tues night when all the big clubs are shut , you get a lot of the hotel staff and locals here…

In the city you have to go to Athena, bit pricey but well worth it, and then later a short walk everyone piles into the Taj hotel by India Gate, Club Insomnia.. Hard house and Dance, with a little bit in Indian!

Shopping: Gold Gold Gold, you have sooo much choice… Plus with all the suits and clothes had to get me another suitcase.. Some fantastic designers out there, You have to go to there boutiques, plus check out the Hotel Oberoi shopping Arcade.. full of Leather and stuff, got some grt jackets and skirts etc..made
U just shows them a design from a catalogue / magazine and within 24 hrs you have it in your hands..

To save all the running around went to one massive shop they had everything all types of suits and sarees, to men’s and kids clothes... The staff were creepy though as they just kept on opening and showing all these outfits that we didn’t want… but still well worth it as so much choice. And it’s air-conditioned...

Entertainment: Enigma is the place to party.. Best to start of at Olives, a wicked restaurant in Juhu/Bhandara.. Inside and outside bar.. Best to book a table.. Pricey by Indian standards but cheap by London...

We had food and drinks there then everyone goes to Enigma.. If you’re not staying at the Marriot you will have to pay. We stayed in the JW Marriott, best hotel I have ever been too... After the club everyone sits in the 24hr coffee shop... I used to get back to my room for 6 am regular...

If you really want to carry on... some local girls took us to a club called Avalon, it’s an after club, bit of a dive... would always go with friends! U have been warned. Good enough to carry on the night though…

Fantastic Pool, Gym and restaurants.. Could not fault it, right over the beach, only played beach volleyball on beach otherwise sea is pretty Dirty!

Also good place to eat is a place called RAIN serves some of the best food in Bombay. Went back there several times. Has a DJ playing sometimes in the corner.. Just a great place to chill.. U get some of the famous stars and such there as well..

General: Kicking city, stayed at the Taj central cool place, grt resturants...Club Insomnia though is only busy on a sat night , thurs and fri are pretty dead.

Local club just round the corner is polyster, ok club with some young locals in thr, its a gordons house hotel on the first floor.

Also the Indigo bar and resturant, just behind the Taj, is the place to hang out, superb cocktails and food, everyone chills out here first and then moves on to Insomnia at about 1am..

Shopping: Stayed at Taj India Gate, central for shopping, loads of different places to goto, About a mile away is a little shopping arcade called The Courtyard, it has about 15 designer shops, some really funky and unique styles, they even make to order and measure if you want!

Another cool but expensive place is Ensemble! You have to get the hotel to give you the address, as from outside its just a door!!! But when you get in its heaven, prepare to take the Credit Card.. Holds a load of unique designers from Bombay..

Otherwise Crossroads is a large ish shopping mall, even has a Marks & Spencer, but well expensive.

Bars: Indigo is the place to hang out, they do an excellent Brunch, with a live band playing in the background.. but you should book a few days before as always sells out...

Also was there last year and Bar Athena in central near Taj has now closed rumour has it they will be re-opening under a new name!

For a more active nightlife, Lincoln Road and Bhandra is the place to chill and party.. Loads of places from Zenji Bar and rest, Bed Lougne and Shooters..Grt for a bar crawl ..

Goa

Hotels: Stayed at Kamat homes (apartments)in Cangulute, very pleasant and staff were excellent. There is also the Taj and Marriot if you want a 5 Star hotel but both my freind and we wanted to be be in the heart of Goa so we could really experience it for what it was.

Entertainement: I went with a freind and we went to the Dugsaggar water falls on our first day out. It was fantastic, a 600 meter drop and we got a chance to
feed the monkeys. It is a bit of a hike and takes a good hour or do to get there but its well worth it. We also went to the Spice Village and again it was a really good way to see Goa, as you go through Old Goa, Panjim, etc, so you get
to see alot of the place. We also went to Club Cubana which is another must see, its in the hills and it is the best club I have been to in ages. The music was great and the crowd was loving it and to top it all off its set in beautiful surrondings. There is even a pool on one level and the next level is an open bar, etc with a chill out area with beds etc.

Shopping: The best place to shop was in Panijm overall we got DVDs that are not even out here aswell as really nice indian outfits. It really depends on what you are after... We also went to the night market - I would say go there because its the atmosphere and haggling which makes it a great place. The food there was great and they had a live bands playing so you can shop, eat, drink and chill out. I picked up loads of pressies from there.

Places to avoid: Remember to haggle at all times, we were lucky as we are Indian and we used it to our advantage.. By saying that we are only going to pay Indian prices... Trust me it works!

Delhi

Accommodation: Stayed at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in the Diplomatic Enclave of New Delhi, Fantastic place, it has five excellent restaurants, one of which was a buffet style, and it also has an Irish bar and a nightclub. Which was ideal as you go straight from your hotel without the hassle of a cab and getting bitten by Mossies.

Have a cool pool and an even better spa/gym.. Got some fantastic massages.. and stuff really cheap compared to London.

Shopping: where do I start, drove the other half up the wall.. Loads of gold shops, went to Tanishq, owned by Tata, they are the new chain in India.. Some cool designs, but they don’t really bargain!

Also fantastic suits and stuff fro me and my sisters.. Poor Hubby only got a kurta..

Avoid letting the cabbies take you shopping as they get commission so they take u all over the place.

The hotel concierge gave us the best advice..

General: Gets really cold in Nov and Dec

Stayed at the Hyatt regency, and a really cool place, has loads of restaurants and bars, as was wary of eating out, Have a traditional Indian one which has live singers... Staff are really friendly and helpful... A really cool bar and Club, with Pool tables so you can chill or dance away the night, found the locals quite clicky, but met some ex pats and Chinese students and we all had a laugh..

There are loads of clubs around South Extension, with some fantastic restaurants.. On par with London.. However they come and go so quick..

Shopping: for us guys is a brilliant place is called Kurta Palace, went with a mate as he was buying some wedding stuff.. I nearly wanted to get married.. There are some great outfits even brought the curly shoes...

Try out the cinema... and watch a bolly flick.. Such a laugh…
