Hotel: Stayed at a place called Sea haven which are self catering apartments in Umdloti Beach.
It had 3 double bedrooms one en suite and a separate shower room with bath for the other 2 bedrooms, living room and small kitchen with cooking facilities,, a great outdoor area with a pool and barbecue.

Nairobi Life!

General: Mayfair Exchange Bureau in Wabera Street gives a good exchange rate (always the best compared to others). CFC Bank in Kimathi Street is also good for changing travellers cheques.

Mombassa life!

Hotels: Stayed at the Kenya Bay Beach Hotel. We booked the hotel directly through reservations @ Kenyabay.com, got an excellent rate, and they also threw in free transfers both ways!!!. Had 7 nights at the beach hotel, situated on the north coast and right smack in the middle of the world famous Bamburi Beach, also located within walking distance along the

General: The pyramids which are amazing but totally ruined by the amount of pestering and beggars ...you will get so many tour and ticket touts it can become really annoying,
Cairo is a wonderful city, but you can easily get hassled. If you find these people annoying, The best reply is 'La Shukran', usually works?
