Techno-sport, happy hippy, or smart smocks, whichever trend or trends you choose to follow this spring, keep things simple with our guide to where to shop each look this season

H&M - Country Club : Missing those glory glory boho days? Don't despair, H & M's new country girl look invokes the spirit of boho chic with a slightly sexier twist. The fabrics are rustic but the shapes are short, slouchy and flirty. How to do it for maximum effect? Go for muted colours and naive embroidery, offset with non-boho accessories. Team your cheesecloth sack dress (the most forgiving shape of the season) with chunky heels, but don't go climbing any trees  Miss Selfridge - Romantic Hippie : If you're not into rehashing the sexy '60s or the hard edged '80s what's left? The '70s of course. The romantic mood coming through for spring has more than a touch of '70s nostalgia to it. Miss Selfridge has tapped into the informal maxi dress trend that was shown at Gucci, Matthew Williamson and Etro. It's great for weddings, parties, summer holidays and it's so flattering and versatile. It's also perfect for keeping your legs under wraps River Island - Graphic Print : Gorgeous graphic prints are the new houndstooth and have been fully embraced at River Island pitching up on leggings, mini dresses and puff sleeve tops. Inspired by '60s op-art, the key to pulling off this look is moderation. Pick one print piece and go easy on the accoutrements. If you're a print virgin start with an accessory. The star print bowling bags are fun and flirty and less of a statement than a puffball print dress

 Mango - Monochrome : This season's incarnation of the monochrome trend has a decidedly '60s slant – think clean lines, geometric print and structured accessories. The key piece is the dress, so pick an above-the-knee shift or tunic to wear over a black jersey poloneck or Edie-style stripy slashneck top. To make it modern follow Mango's lead and team it with chunky plat-heels and, of course, the ubiquitous dense black opaque tights – at least until summer arrives New Look - Super Short : Still covering up your legs in those Superfine drainpipes? Tsk, be brave girl! New Look has gone especially crazy for the all-in-one playsuit. Don't mock, Stella McCartney showed this on the runway so expect to see the likes of Lindsay and Kate rocking the trend with aplomb. Still scared? Be creative. Layer up with summer-weight bomber jackets on top and tights underneath and you'll be strutting your stuff with the best of themOasis - Love Story: Oasis' Love Story look is perfect for those of us who adore fashion but don't want to look like we're fanatic followers. It takes its inspiration from Chloe's American preppie look – cue cute cotton blouses teamed with neat skirts and the signature high waisted tailored wide-leg jeans. Guys get this look too. It's stylish, considered but wearable. If you're not going to get sci-fied up in metallics and pvc then this low key trend will work for you

 TopShop - The Smock : Oh how we love a smock! The relaxed casualness, the easy, breezy comfort, not to mention its girlish charm. This season TopShop incorporates balloon sleeves into the look giving it even more of a fashion edge as only TopShop can at a high street price. The golden rule of smock chic is to keep the bottom half as straight and narrow as a knitting needle. Skinny jeans, cigarette trousers or bare legs are the way to go to keep the look youthful not mumsy    Warehouse - Techno Sports: Sportswear is back on the fashion agenda but we're not talking old school gym kit this time around.
